A rescue operation is underway following a collision involving a tour bus in Upstate New York on Friday, officials said.

The crash, which occurred about 30 miles east of Buffalo, caused multiple injuries and shut down part of one of western New York’s main highways, officials said.

The accident took place on Interstate 90, which forms part of the New York Thruway, in Pembroke, New York, about 30 miles east of Buffalo.
