Voting is now open and will remain open until Thursday at noon. Northridge's Shawn Stephenson won the boys poll last week with 72% of votes, while Northside's Katelyn Patton won the girls poll with 49% of votes.

This past week of high school sports in the Ames area saw the Gilbert and Nevada football teams take part in the Iowa high school football playoff quarterfinals and the Ames girls swimming and diving team take part in their regional meets.

It's time to vote for TRN Sports Athlete of the Week for the week of Nov. 4-9. There are 15 local athletes nominated for this award. All nominees were chosen from stats submitted by their respective coaches.
