More than 1,100 flights were canceled at Chicago airports as the storm disrupted travel for those headed home after Thanksgiving.
The storm will spread through the Midwest and Great Lakes regions over the weekend with "widespread heavy snowfall and hazardous travel conditions," the National Weather Service said.
Some higher elevations in New Jersey could see up to 5 inches of snow Tuesday, while the southern half of the state gets all rain.
We’re expecting a significant winter storm to arrive in Southeast Michigan on Saturday and into Sunday morning.
A winter weather advisory was released by the National Weather Service on Saturday at 1:25 p.m. valid for Sunday between 3 a.m. and noon for Westmoreland Ridges and Fayette Ridges.
