The city of Sioux Falls teams up with South Dakota State University to further find ways to help improve the Big Sioux River.

The museum sits along the Big Sioux River in Sioux City. When that river rose in June 2024 it caused major damage to the museum. Most of the buildings had at least four feet of water inside.
