How Hat Club got so big Hat Club was founded in Phoenix in 1992 as National Hat Club. It has long been a staple in the city since its days of being based out of a janitor’s closet in Mesa.

But the tears turned out to have been premature, for over the weekend the space that was Katerina’s, at 1920 W. Irving Park Rd. reopened as the High-Hat Club.
