Strong wind gusts knocked down trees and powerlines and took out power across the Baltimore region on Sunday. A high wind warning is in effect for most of Maryland until 10 p.m. on Sunday. Wind gusts are expected to reach up to 60 mph in parts of the state.

More than 100,000 homes and businesses are without power across the Baltimore region as winds gusting up to 60 mph damage power lines, down trees and topple poles.
