The multiday severe weather threat will develop in the Midwest and South Sunday and then spread toward the East Coast on Monday. Destructive straight-line winds, large hail and strong tornadoes are all potential threats.

The severe weather won't be as widespread as last Friday's outbreak, but it could still produce dangerous conditions in parts of Illinois and Indiana, as well as parts of surrounding states.

At least 80 million people − from the Midwest to the South to the East − were in the path of turbulent weather Sunday into Monday.
