The Pitt Panthers and Penn State Nittany Lions will meet in a neutral-site basketball game for the first time since 2017.

"Pitt and Penn State is a natural rivalry that makes a great deal of sense to play in the current collegiate landscape," said Pitt head coach Jeff Capel. "The trip to Hershey in December will give Pitt fans across the state an opportunity to see the team in action and will be a great way to tip off the holiday season."

The Keystone State rivalry has not happened in men’s basketball since 2017, when Penn State toppled Pitt 85-54. December will be the 149th meeting between the two. Penn State leads the series 76-72, though Pitt has won seven of the past nine.
