OCEANSIDE, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — Crews responded to a vegetation fire near Guajome Regional Park in Oceanside on Sunday, officials confirmed.

A large brush fire that erupted near Lake Piru in Ventura County and spread into Los Angeles County continues to burn, though crews are making significant progress in containment.

Fire officials say the blaze is threatening power lines as well as the communities of Hasley Canyon and Hathaway Ranch.
