The South Carolina Gamecocks Women's Basketball team is back in the Elite Eight for the fifth straight season after surviving a back and forth game against Maryland, 71-67. The top-seeded Gamecocks had just two players score in double figures. MiLaysia Fulwiley led the team with 23 points and Chloe Kitts tacked on 15 points of her own.
Fulwiley’s two late buckets, and a three-minute Maryland scoreless streak, put the game out of reach for the No. 4-seed Terps in a 71-67 loss to No. 1-seed South Carolina in the Sweet 16 at Legacy Arena.

Maryland shot 16 free throws in the first half and led South Carolina 32-31 at the break. The Terrapins only shot two total free throws in the second half, and both came on a shooting foul in the third quarter. UM shot zero free throws in the fourth.
