Severe storms bringing potentially damaging winds were sweeping through the Chicago area late Friday night, as a fast-moving squall line raced through the state. The fast-moving line of storms was capable of producing destructive winds over 70 miles per hour and potential tornadoes,

We have seen a couple weak storms along the Mississippi border this afternoon but they will be moving out of West Tennessee in the next hour or two. All of our focus now will turn to Friday after sunset into early Saturday morning for the first severe weather event from this system.
