Union Home Minister Amit Shah addresses rallies in Jharkhand, stating BJP's pledges if voted to power: forming committee to identify and expel illegal immigrants, reclaiming land, and enacting laws to prevent land transfer to infiltrators.

Ranchi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has asserted that BIP would -- if it came to power in Jharkhand — bring a law to prevent transfer of land to “infiltrators” if they married tribal women. He was addressing an election on Monday rally in favour of former chief minister and BJP leader Champai Soren in Seraikela.

Amit Shah further claimed that Champai Soren was insulted when he raised the infiltration issue and was forced to resign from Chief Minister's post by Hemant Soren.

The home minister also promised to introduce legislation to prevent the transfer of land to ‘infiltrators’ who marry Adivasi women.
