Two spectacular performances from Arda Güler and Kylian Mbappé secured all three points for Real Madrid against Celta Vigo.

Real Madrid survived a late scare but kept pace with league leaders Barcelona again on Sunday (May 4, 2025), ahead of their La Liga 'Clasico' next weekend. Kylian Mbappe scored in each half as Madrid held on to beat Celta Vigo 3-2 and remain four points behind the Catalan rivals going into the game in Barcelona.

Real Madrid hung on to keep their La Liga title hopes alive, beating Celta Vigo 3-2 despite a stirring second-half fightback from the visitors at a tetchy Santiago Bernabeu. Arda Guler's fine opener and goals from Kylian Mbappe either side of halftime had Carlo Ancelotti's side in cruise control.
