To say our rain totals have been lack luster is an understatement. Columbus has yet to see a tenth of an inch of rain this month. Some relief is on the way. Starting tonight through Wednesday will be our best chances for showers.

Saturday, is the last day of summer, and fall begins tomorrow. Summer 2024 set heat records, but it’s going out with mild temperatures and a chance of rain in the Harrisburg area. The National Weather Service in State College is calling for a small chance of showers this morning and early afternoon;

The autumnal equinox marks the changing of the seasons, shortening the hours of daylight in the Northern Hemisphere.

Although residents still have a ways to go before the warm weather fades, it's always exciting to know when summer ends and fall begins.
