Liga MX giants Cruz Azul will host Vancouver Whitecaps FC in the Concacaf Champions Cup final on June 1 at the Estadio Olímpico Universitario in Mexico City, the usual home of rivals Pumas UNAM.

Cruz Azul and Tigres met in the semi-final of the Concacaf Champions Cup, with the winners booking their place in the grand final on Saturday 1st June 2025. The first leg ended 1-1 as Rodolfo Rotondi handed La Máquina a second-half lead before Juan Purata balanced the books heading into the reverse fixture in the capital.

Striker Angel Sepulveda scored on a penalty kick late in the match and Cruz Azul defeated the UANL Tigres 1-0 to progress to the CONCACAF Champions Cup final where they will play the Vancouver Whitecaps.
