One day after returning from a lengthy absence, Chicago Cubs catcher Miguel Amaya is headed right back to the injured list after spraining his left ankle while stepping on first base Wednesday night against the Toronto Blue Jays.

The injury occurred in the top of the eighth inning after Amaya hit a chopper to shortstop and was attempting to beat out the throw at first at Rogers Centre on Wednesday night.

With catcher Miguel Amaya going down with a severe ankle sprain, early reports have indicated that Chicago Cubs top prospect Owen Caissie is being promoted.
