Utah officials say consumer protections are in place following the bankruptcy sale of 23andMe, the popular genetic testing company, to a nonprofit run by its founder.

The sale was previously approved by a judge. The company was purchased by the nonprofit TTAM Research Institute, which is led by 23andMe cofounder Anne Wojcicki.
