An estimate of 27 girls remained missing after deadly flooding caused “destructive” floods at Camp Mystic in Hunt, Texas, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said.

Kerrville City Manager Dalton Rice said he had been jogging along the Guadalupe River trail at 3:30 a.m. and saw only light rain and no signs of flooding.

At one campground along the Guadalupe River, people filmed videos of themselves evacuating when they noticed flood water encroaching under their vehicle. Other videos showed cars and cabins submerged.
