Ahead of the highly-anticipated India-Pakistan clash in the 2025 Champions Trophy at the Dubai International Stadium, fast-bowling spearhead Jasprit Bumrah received his ICC Awards and Team of The Year caps for his stellar performances in 2024.

The star Indian pace spearhead was a nightmare for Aussies to face during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy concluded recently. The 3-1 scoreline in favour of Australia, who won the trophy for the first time since 2014 and avoided a hat-trick of series losses to India at home, does not truly show how much fight Bumrah single-handedly put for India.

Bumrah had also met his India teammates on Sunday during their warm-up drills before the match against Pakistan.

Jasprit Bumrah had a fun interaction with the likes of Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya ahead of India's clash against Pakistan on Sunday, February 23. Bumrah was ruled of the Champions Trophy 2025 due to a back issue.

Bumrah was awarded the ICC Cricketer of the Year Award for 2024 by board president Jay Shah in Dubai. His wife Sanjana Ganesan, who is on broadcast duties, accompanied him and Shah during the award presentation ceremony.

The fast-bowler is skipping Champions Trophy due to a back injury but was present in Dubai to cheer Team India on from the stands.

Jasprit Bumrah is in Dubai as a spectator for the India vs Pakistan clash and he has been presented with the prestigious ICC awards before the play began.

‘Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy due to a lower back injury. The men’s selection committee has named Harshit Rana as Bumrah’s replacement,’ the BCCI announced in a statement last week.
