Per SportsNet New York, the Jets have began letting candidates that were interviewed for both positions that they will not be hired. The updates came on the same day that Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn and Washington Commanders assistant general manager Lance Newmark both had second interview in New York on Tuesday:

Amid strong links between Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn and the New York Jets' search for a new head coach, reports have surfaced indicating that Glenn could soon be tabbed as a bench boss somewhere.

The Jets apparently have the goal of hiring Glenn on Tuesday and will "not let him leave the building" unless a deal is reached, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported. A deal has not been agreed upon yet, so it could take up a good chunk of the day on Tuesday before any news is dropped, if the situation ends up working out.
