The Jets are hiring Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn as their next head coach, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Wednesday.

But amid all the excitement about former cornerback coming back to lead the team that picked him in the first round of the 1994 NFL Draft, the search for a new general manager did not come to an end with them hiring their only finalist, Commanders assistant GM Lance Newmark who interviewed with Glenn on Tuesday.
