The Kansas City Royals locked up one of their young stars when shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. signed an 11-year, $288.7 million extension ahead of the 2024 season.
The Royals’ AL Central foe, the Chicago White Sox, won the draft lottery and were awarded the first pick. Chicago had the highest chance to get that top pick with a 27.7% chance. Another AL Central opponent, the Minnesota Twins, were given the third pick in 2026.
