Sonia Cruz, the mother of Luis Aldarondo’s two children is suing Delta for negligence resulting in Aldarondo’s death.

The suit comes a month after OSHA imposed the maximum penalty against the Atlanta-based airline for the incident that killed two and seriously injured one employee.

Luis Aldarondo’s estate filed the lawsuit against the airline. Aldarondo, 37, was one of two Delta TechOps employees killed during the August 2024 incident at the facility’s tire and wheel shop.
