Two Hamtramck City Council members are facing election fraud charges in connection with the 2023 city council election.

Two Hamtramck city councilmen were charged with election and absentee ballot fraud by the Monroe County prosecuting attorney.

Jingyu Jin, the alleged head of an international trafficking ring, was indicted in Lucas County on July 24, 2025.
