Dolphins starting offensive tackle Austin Jackson will miss several weeks with a leg injury after being stepped on at practice but is expected to return by Miami's season opener against the Indianapolis Colts on Sept.

The Miami Dolphins signed offensive lineman Germain Ifedi, the team announced. The move comes one day after news came out that starting right tackle Austin Jackson will miss several weeks with a lower-extremity injury,

Among the Dolphins' many issues last year was the team's inability to consistently convert on third down. Miami's 36.3 percent success rate on third down ranked No. 25 in the NFL. Wide receiver Tyreek Hill has one idea that he thinks will yield more success moving the chains.

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill expressed his belief that running back De'Von Achane shouldn't be playing on third down in short-yardage situations.

Tyreek Hill was asked about what the Dolphins could do to improve in those situations, and he offered Mike McDaniel a very simple solution.  "Take De'Von [Achane] out on third down," Hill said matter of factly.
