According to NBA reporter Taylor Rooks, Ja Morant and the team were not aware that the Grizzlies front office were firing Taylor Jenkins.

Prior to the firing of Memphis Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins, there was feeling that star point guard Ja Morant was getting traded prior to the Feb. 6 deadline.

An NBA insider offered up an interesting take this week on why Ja Morant is unlikely to be traded now, but some NBA general managers expected it to happen soon. The Memphis Grizzlies are closing in on winning 50 or more games for the third time in the last four seasons.
