Donald Trump has announced a 10% trade tariff on all imports from the UK - as he unleashed sweeping tariffs across the globe.

The US is "our closest ally" but "nothing is off the table" in response to Donald Trump's 10% tariffs on imports from the UK, the business secretary has said.

An upbeat president confirms the UK will not be spared but the reciprocal duties he is imposing on all UK exports to the US are set at 10%, a lower figure than many had feared.
