Tens of millions of Americans are under winter storm warnings as a "major" system is dumping snow and delaying flights.

Minnesota unpacked its snowy season on Wednesday, when the Twin Cities and other parts of the state woke up to roads fully or partly caked in slush and snow, disrupted school schedules and a smattering of snow emergencies for vehicle owners from their municipalities.

Light and persistent snow continues to fall in Minnesota on Saturday, with the southern region expected to see the most accumulation.

An updated snow squall warning was released by the National Weather Service on Friday at 3:46 p.m. in effect until 4 p.m. for Centre County.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Advisory from 3 p.m. Saturday through 10 a.m. Sunday for multiple counties in southeast Michigan.
