The Chicago Cubs may not have made a big splash at the trade deadline, after missing out on Eugenio Suarez and failing to acquire another starting pitcher other than Mike Soroka. According to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic,

The Cubs made a bullpen move in the final day of the MLB trade deadlines, landing pitcher Taylor Rogers from the Pirates.

The Pittsburgh Pirates have traded Gold Glove-winning third baseman Ke’Bryan Hayes to the Cincinnati Reds for veteran reliever Taylor Rogers, shortstop prospect Sammy Stafura and cash.
