During a recent US Coast Guard Marine Board of Investigation hearing, Wilby revealed that OceanGate relied on an Excel spreadsheet to map the submersible’s navigation. Furthermore, the data was manually entered by hand into the Excel spreadsheet.

Guillermo Sohnlein, the OceanGate co-founder, will testify before the US Coast Guard in relation to the Titan submersible tragedy.

"The whole system was absolutely idiotic," Antonella Wilby, a former OceanGate contractor, testified at a Friday hearing on the Titan submersible.

A hearing into OceanGate’s Titan sub, which imploded during an expedition to the wreck of the Titanic last year, revealed that its navigation system allegedly relied on team members manually inputting the coordinate data into a spreadsheet in order to track the vessel.
