Prominent conservatives and supporters of President Donald Trump have had a mixed response to the president’s sweeping tariff plans. Trump announced his reciprocal tariffs Wednesday, enacting blanket 10% tariffs on most countries and higher rates for several other countries based partially on their trade deficit with the U.

U.S. Rep. Mike Kelly, a Republican from Butler County who owned a group of auto dealerships, was among those skeptical of Trump's tariff plan.

“Trump’s pushing a button and raising costs on people,” Shapiro told MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle at Fegley’s Brew Works, which the governor visited to highlight his administration’s investments in small businesses and main street projects.
