The Trump administration has given 36 countries, most of them in Africa, a Wednesday deadline to commit to improving vetting or face a ban on their citizens visiting the United States.

President Donald Trump has announced that he is considering extending a travel ban to an additional 36 countries after restricting entry from 19 nations into the United States. Earlier this month, Trump imposed a full ban on nationals from 12 countries and partial restrictions on visitors from an additional seven countries as part of an ongoing effort to eliminate foreign threats and secure the United States' borders.
