The federal government has revoked the visas of a dozen international students at the University of California, Los Angeles, UCLA Chancellor Julio Frenk announced Sunday.

An increasing number of student deportation threats involve the revocation of visas based on relatively minor offenses like years-old misdemeanors, according to immigration attorneys, or sometimes no reason at all.

Some shock and uncertainty is being felt on the UCLA campus Monday after several student visas were revoked under the Trump administration.
