CALGARY -- Logan Thompson made 32 saves to help the Washington Capitals to a 3-1 win against the Calgary Flames at Scotiabank Saddledome on Tuesday. Thompson signed a six-year, $35.1 million contract ($5.85 million average annual value) with the Capitals on Monday. The goaltender is 15-1-2 since Nov. 25.

Logan Thompson made 32 saves, Pierre-Luc Dubois, Dylan Strome and Aliaksei Protas scored goals, and the Washington Capitals beat the Calgary Flames 3-1.

The 27-year-old was stellar in net, coming up with several key stops, including two on breakaways, to keep the Flames at bay. Coleman's deflection was the only shot that beat him, but that's hardly on him, and everything he saw, he stopped.
