WHITEWATER TOWNSHIP, Ohio — The Whitewater Township Board of Trustees will hold a special session Tuesday after a chemical leak prompted evacuations for more than 24 hours last week.

A chemical leak led to evacuation and shelter in place orders in the area of Whitewater Township.It happened near State Route 128 and U.S. 50, near the Great Miami River.

WHITEWATER TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKRC) - More than 24 hours after a rail car began spewing a dangerous chemical, the leak was contained, and the EPA says air quality in the area is not an issue.
