At least, in my experience growing up in Western KY and visiting Eastern KY a lot. Definitely differences, but I see them as both "southern." That said, I see a lot of different subcultures in the south. There are some differences in dialect though - and I also think that the Ozarks in general feel more remote and isolated and less populated - definitely less traveled by tourists.
