Most of the bodies were left in areas on the South Shore of Long Island, New York. Also known as the Gilgo Beach Killer. Update: Rex Heuermann was arrested on July 13, 2023, in connection with three of the murders.

Rex Heuermann, 59, a married architect at a New York City firm, was caught after DNA from the hair of victim Megan Waterman matched that of his, taken by investigators from a discarded pizza crust in January. Feb 9, 2004 · I have followed both of those cases. I am convinced that John Bittrolff is the Long Island Serial Killer. I'm not convinced that there's a link between the LISK murders and the Atlantic City murders. A couple of the Atlantic City victims were significantly older than most of the LISK/Bittrolff victims.

May 30, 2023 · Bissett was a co-owner of the Long Island Aquarium. and Lanieri was the food services director there. I don’t think they both had to do with LISK, but my suspicion has always been Bissett, as he was a super wealthy business man who had multiple ties to both law enforcement and high ranking officials in the Long Island area.

Jun 4, 2018 · My gut tells me that at least one of the serial killers is still in Long Island. The specific area where the bodies were found is a summertime vacation area. Families/People from all over Long Island will travel to the Gilgo Beach/ Fire Island (etc.) area for day trips and/or get-a-ways to the beach in the summertime.
