Jan 7, 2025 · There’s a lot going on by Frontenac with both the points and natural bend of the riverbed, along with some different bottom hardness all in a relatively small area. I remember 15 years ago how it always seemed to be local river rats fishing the area…as it has become more popular I’ve seen more and more “close calls”.

I can’t stress enough that the wing dams I have been fishing are now a mere foot or so below the water… If you are not familiar with the buoy system on the river you need to be if you’re planning to spend a day on the river..

Feb 23, 2024 · Went out today late morning to about 2:30pm today. Windy day on the river. Spent about 45 minutes at the confluence, marked a lot of fish. Lots of boats stopping through, no fish caught. Went down river and marked some fish down river of a hole.
