Troy is a city in Latah County, Idaho, United States. Located in the eastern part of the Palouse region, its population was 862 at the 2010 census. The community was originally known as Huffs Gulch when J. Wesley Seat homesteaded in the area in 1885.

THSI began a project to digitize the historic newspapers of Troy to preserve them and make them available to the public. A Community Enhancement Grant (CEG) from the Idaho State Historical Society (ISHS) was obtained in 2019 to begin digitizing the newspapers the THSI had on hand and microfilm borrowed from ISHS.
