To emphasise, it is because we don’t know the concentration of glycerol in slushies and because they can be drank very quickly, the speed of ingestion of the glycerol is clearly very relevant. BUT, now that we know this is an ingredient that is not safe for young children at high concentrations and when ingested quickly - surely there needs to be regulation around manufacturers using this ingredient in products marketed towards kids?? I found a number of kids products in supermarkets that contai
