The Circle of Security Based on Bowlby’s work, the Circle of Security is an approach first developed by Cooper, Hoffman, and Powell (1998) for families, explaining the importance of attachment and emotionally supportive interactions and relationships. Research has shown attachment problems in infancy and early childhood, increasing the probability of psychopathology later on in life (Circle of Security international, 2024) Secure attachment relationships with caregivers and educators are a prote
