🕊️Bye Bye Walter🕊️ When Walter the Wood Pigeon was picked up by a caring wildlife hero, he was in a real bad way. Walter was struggling to eat and breathe due to severe canker infection - a nasty protazoan (a single celled microscopic parasite) that causes “cheesy” growths in the throat. 😷 👩🏻‍⚕️The Nurses started immediate intensive treatment - regular tube feeding, daily medication and his own warm cozy bed in a darkened quiet carrier. His recovery was slow, but the Nurses didn’t give up!
