I recently visited Torreya State Park. The Torreya pine (Torreya taxifolia) is a critically endangered tree in the Yew family. It is only found on limestone cliffs along a short stretch of the Aapalachicola River. There is estimated to only be 200 left in the wild. Hiking along the trail I saw some native hardy palms as well. There’s an organization that is trying to save the Torreya pine @torreyakeepers. They sent me some seeds last year but I couldn’t get them to sprout. #endangeredplants #flo
