Cocos: a cultural world away 🇨🇨💚🌿 Cocos is home to 450 friendly Cocos-Malay locals, who are welcoming and happy to share their culture and history with visitors. The community enjoy keeping traditional basket weaving alive, shown by Nek Nina here. Known Keroso in Cocos-Malay, these hardy Coconut-palm leaf baskets were historically used to transport bait, fruits and flowers but are now used as storage and decoration in local homes. You can observe the intricate weaving of these during festiva
