Today marks the 100th anniversary of the Laie Hawaii Temple, the 5th oldest operating temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the first temple to be built outside of the continental United States. Since the Laie Hawaii Temple's dedication on Nov. 27, 1919, the temple has stood as a symbol of the sanctity, purity and unity of Laie. Hailed as an expert in Laie history by community members, Cy Bridges said those who participate in the temple work are a part of a great legacy.
