In this video, I show you how I disable the MDS (Multi-Displacement System) / cylinder deactivation on my Ram truck with the 5.7L HEMI V8 — no tuning, no modifications, just using the factory gear limiter on the steering wheel. I also clear up a common misconception around MDS and lifter failures. In my experience, MDS in the HEMI platform is often blamed for issues it isn’t directly responsible for. That’s very different from what we’ve seen with certain GM V8 cylinder deactivation systems, whe

Here’s one of the main causes for the hemi tick. This customer brought us his Ram Truck because it was ticking and misfiring. We were able to diagnose the issue and found failed lifters. Failed lifters can cause metal-on-metal wear like in the video. Solution: Replace with OEM Components or opt for the MDS delete to avoid a repeat failure. ✅ It is critical to identify any issues early on to prevent catastrophic failures. For inquiries regarding builds/repairs, DM or give us a Call 📳979-616-7235
