Eric Clapton sang “Tears in Heaven” for his son, Conor Clapton, who tragically died at the age of four in 1991. Conor fell from the 53rd-floor window of a New York City apartment building. The song was written as a deeply emotional tribute, reflecting Clapton’s grief, loss, and the hope of being reunited with his son in the afterlife. It was co-written with Will Jennings and first appeared on the soundtrack for the 1991 film Rush, then later on Clapton’s Unplugged album in 1992. Follow @best.liv
