Justin Peck’s invigorating Rodeo: Four Dance Episodes was a rousing finish to the opening of our spring performances last night. Russell Janzen made his debut in the lead role of the ballet, which features 15 male dancers and one female lead, performed here by Sara Mearns. Anthony Huxley also made his debut as one of the featured dancers in this high-flying piece set to Aaron Copland’s iconic Americana score.
