A fire on Hawaii Island is going into its third day of burning. On Friday, around 4 p.m., a fire broke out in the Laupahoehoe district on Kaala Road. Upon investigation, the Hawaii Fire Department said crews found a plume of smoke burning deep in the eucalyptus forest. The fire was inaccessible by vehicles or ground crews.
