Today was a very special day at the sanctuary! We had new cement slabs poured for our steers, Romeo and Ferdinand. We didn’t want their feeders to be in the mud during the rainy season, and this was the perfect solution. Ilana suggested that she, along with a few animals and two of our volunteers, leave their handprints in the cement. What a fun project this turned out to be! Rusty, the stallion, showed exemplary behavior and followed Ilana’s instructions perfectly. Oh, and what a beautiful hoof
